Hitched at Cafe Brauer on Marathon Day - Danielle and Steven
With camera gear in tow, I crossed the marathon track at a slight diagonal jog so as not to topple any runners, the way your friends teach you your first time watching the yearly test of endurance. The festivities were waning, but I was just arriving at the Marriott Marquis to document Danielle and Steven’s wedding day.
It was a relaxed environment, perfect for a Sunday wedding, and once we arrived at Cafe Brauer, the wind changed our photo plans and we found sanctuary in the Brauer facade. The sun played peekaboo all day and sat low when the ceremony began, diffusing in the Honeycomb panels and casting a soft glow as Danielle and Steven made their commitments to each other.
Once inside the venue, the easygoing atmosphere carried through and our couple entered without an introduction. They made their way to every table to greet their esteemed guests, who scratched off complimentary lottery tickets, popcorning across the space with exclaims of celebration, holding up winning tickets. These tableside chats flowed into toasts, which flowed into dancing, and the night went on in a peaceful and serene manner, celebrating Danielle and Steven exactly the way they preferred.
